For those going to Australia, and only have a short amount of time, I would say this itinerary is a perfect "sampler" of what Australia has to offer.

...We were in the outback! We stayed at a resort called the Voyages Sails in the Desert, a 5-star property with a super sweet pool area. You could sit in the pool to cool down from the 40-degree weather, then hop out to the side to read a book or have a beer. It is only about 10 minutes away from the rock, which is a sacred site for the local people. We went to an event called the Sounds of Silence dinner, which was one of the most amazing experiences I had while in Australia.

Although I've been to Australia a couple of times before, I had never had the opportunity to see Uluru (Ayers Rock). This rock is world famous and one of the top 3 destinations to visit in Australia. After finally visiting it myself, I can certainly understand why, but I'll get to that in a minute.
