Unfortunately, after spending 8 months straight in Vancouver I was desperate for some kind of reprieve from the rainsoaked crowds of yoga-wear-yuppies, so I threw a few pairs of trousers into a bag and hopped a flight down to San Francisco- far south enough to warrant a decent improvement in the weather, and as of yet not fully saturated with lycra stretch pants and brightly coloured sweatbands.
