When in Spain

I spent 8 days touring Spain from the historical cities to the breathtaking seaside. I traveled from Toronto on Air Transat which was a bit cramped but you can't beat the price. The service was very friendly.
We arrived in Madrid and took a city tour which I would highly recommend as it is a great way to see the modern city with its beautiful parks and gardens, the bull ring and the soccer Stadium. At night there are many different areas to go to if you would like to try the local tapas. Most restaurants do have an english menu as well. I would recommend taking your hotel address if you are traveling by taxi as most of the taxi drivers do not speak english.
The next day we took the train from Madrid to Barcelona which is a great way to travel. Barcelona is vibrant and bursting with excitement. Make sure to check out the famous Ramblas where all of the buskers are out in full force. At night we went for an amazing meal of paella and sangria in the Olympic port. I would recommend this area for a fantastic meal! Also take in the tour of Monsterrat where you will enjoy a scenic drive through villages up to the top of the mountain.
After one night in Barcelona we took a bus ride to Costa Brava and visited 2 different towns. The long stretches of golden beaches, roman ruins and art treasures are a must see. The people are so friendly. You can take a train from Barcelona for 5 euros!
We then made our way to our last destination of Costa Daurada which has famous golf courses, one of Spain's largest theme parks and one of my favourite places Salou! Restaurants line the beach and there is great nightlife!
If you are looking for a historical vacation or even a relaxing one by the sea filled with sunshine, great food and great wine give me a call and we can plan the endless possibilities that Spain has to offer!
